Infrastructure

Attendance at the various schools BIA works with is growing at a dramatic rate, but adequate space at these institutions is becoming a problem. In many cases, the schools’ budgets have little room for expansion. With this issue in mind, BIA has taken the initiative to build extra classrooms at a number of schools, which have been used for Grade R classrooms, computer labs, etc. In addition we have constructed rooms which are used by our mentors and reading assistants.

BIA receives donations in various forms, including items like second hand computers, clothes, toys and educational material, which we distribute to the community immediately. We are always grateful for any items which we receive and ensure that everything is divided equally amongst the schools and communities.
