Kurland Village is a township in the Crags, located twenty five kilometres from Plettenberg Bay, where many of its residents live in impoverished conditions, some in wooden shacks with no water or electricity. Unemployment is rife and HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, epilepsy, and high blood pressure are major health concerns. Our volunteers are always active at this school- assisting teachers, providing administrative support, computer classes, life orientation, and many other skills. At the moment, BIA employs four mentors at this school.
