Sponsor a reading class

Being able to read and write is a fundamental right for any, and every, person on this planet. Many of the disadvantaged children we work with require additional help with reading classes because their parents are illiterate, and as such are unable to assist them with homework.

Born in Africa offers support to teachers, in a number of schools, by providing them with reading assistants for larger classes. With the reading assistants, our BIA children are able to gain added reading practice, and those who require additional help can receive more individualised attention. Born in Africa relies on donations from generous supporters to run these essential programmes- to help our children improve their reading and communication.
