20 September 2013 - International Coastal Clean-Up Day
The International Coastal Clean-Up day saw more than 600,000 people involved world-wide who got together to pick-up rubbish in communities and on beaches. It is estimated that a total of 4 million kgs of rubble was collected across the globe. This is the 6th year running in Crags. Various organisations were involved, including ourselves, Ingwe Forest Adventrues, Birds of Eden, Monkey Land, Jukani, Orca, Working for Water, Plastic SA, Coca Cola, Hunters Hotels and Willing Workers. We met in the hall, were debriefed, made introductions and then walked Kurland with black bags collecting rubbish. More than 100 black bags were filled in total.
