23, 25 September 2013 – Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary outings
Many of our older children had the opportunity to visit Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary, a park which has relocated recently to just outside of Plettenberg Bay. It boasts 18 species of wild cats as well as other wildlife, many of which were kept as pets. The park focuses on conservation education and specifically the plight of large predators in captivity, they are not humanised or touched. It was a wonderful experience, to view these beautiful animals at such close range is a privilege many never get to experience. It was also good to see a love and respect for the animals being nurtured in BIA learners. We would recommend a visit to anyone and everyone, children and adults alike!
