4 June 2014 – Rotary Interact "Induction Day"

Wittedrift High School’s Rotary Interact club held their induction on Tuesday 4 June at the school’s clubhouse. “Interactors” are enthusiastic young people at school level who perform similar functions to Rotary clubs. The clubs source deserving projects to support by hosting fundraising projects in and around their school and community. Interact has the capacity to be sustainable over a long period of time, and adds value to the lives of young people in Southern Africa, and we look forward to see them grow and make a positive impact!

We often hear that our citizens do not have the necessary skills to live successfully in society. Interact is a way of developing a wide range of skills that will be of lasting benefit to our future adults. Born in Africa’s Academic Coordinator, Belinda Coram, works with the BIA Wittedrift High school students and for this reason it was fitting that she was selected to run the club in conjunction with Rotary president, Ruby Chetty. We would like to congratulate the following office bearers on their positions: Beugené Green (Gr 11) President, Danelle Majavie (Gr 12) Vice president, Deidre Barnardo (Gr 11) Treasurer and Adija Hartley (Gr 12) as Secretary.
