January - Brand New Uniforms!
370 lucky BIA learners received brand spanking new uniforms at the beginning of the school year. The learners range from Grade 2 to Grade 12 which age wise is 6 to 18 years. Each student received shoes, socks, trousers, shirts, jerseys, rain jackets and stationary. This project takes place at the start of every academic year. It is important that our learners begin the year prepared without having to worry about their attire so that they can focus on their academic studies. The BIA team set off each day to another school with our 2 BIA busses full of clothing. Our “shops” proved to be a great success and in no time each learner would exit, new uniform in hand, with a huge smile on his or her dial!
Thanks to the following schools who allowed us the use of a classroom: Kranshoek Primary, Crags Primary, Wittedrift Primary, Plett Secondary school, Wittedrift High and Harkerville Primary. Our thanks also goes out to the dynamic BIA team for all their assistance and thank you to the BIA godparents for sponsoring the uniforms.
