Georges De Smul, chairman of Born in Africa Belgium receives the honoree title of ‘Commandeur in die Kroonorde’

Georges De Smul, Isabelle’s father and chairman of Born in Africa Belgium has recently had a truly remarkable honour bestowed upon him. He has been granted the honoree title of Commandeur van die Kroon Orde, which is the highest medal of excellence granted to civilians in Belgium. This is for his lifelong contribution to humanitarian purposes. Mr De Smul received this medal from the King of Belgium at a gala event on 16 November 2009. We are most proud of you Uncle George!
