Knight in the Order of The Crown

While celebrating the 20th birthday of Born in Africa and when the book was published in January 2023, Isabelle De Smul- Brink was crowned as Knight in the Order of the Crown in Belgium. This title was given to her because of all the selfless work she had done for the communities of Bitou in South Africa over the past 20 years.
