Deidre Barnardo

2016 was Deidre's first year of tertiary studies after Graduating from Wittedrift High in 2015. This young lady has high business aspirations and we look forward to supporting her every effort at making a huge success of her studies. 

Deidre, or Didi, as she is fondly known, is a very motivated student who graduated from Wittedrift High as one of the top performers in her grade. After finishing secondary school, Didi started studying accounting at NMMU and although she did very well, she soon discovered this field of study wasn’t really her thing to work in for the rest of her life. In 2018 she therefor approached Born in Africa to discuss a change in studies for the next year. Because we know how motivated and driven Deidre is, we decided to give her the opportunity to study where her heart really lies, teaching. Deidre commenced her new studies in 2019 at Varsity College in Port Elizabeth where she did a 3- year Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase teaching. In 2019 we said goodbye to Didi and we wish her only the best for the future!
