Zodwa Thandathu

Zodwa Thandathu left her high school as she was not performing academically. She realised that her talents were more practically orientated. She enrolled herself at South Cape College just outside Plettenberg Bay where she completed a 2 year course in Administration Assistant. The course comprises of a theoretical and a practical component. Zodwa commuted every day diligently the 70 km return trip to and from college. The household had a very tiny monthly income which means that without Born in Africa’s assistance Zodwa wouldn't have been able to study. We funded her course and covered her daily transport costs.
