Our Ashante hails from New Horizons, Plettenberg Bay. She joined Born in Africa in her final year at Harkerville Primary School, after which she started high school at Plett Secondary. Ashante completed her senior school phase at Wittedrift High in 2024. She has always been fascinated by the world of digital communication and the impact it has had on the world we live in now. Advertising and its incredible power have had Ashante intrigued ever since she can remember. In 2025, she is fulfilling her lifelong dream by commencing her 1-year Higher certificate in Digital marketing at the renowned Red and Yellow Academy in Cape Town. This is a huge step for Ashante and her family who are rooting for her all the way. We are really proud of her, who will be Born in Africa’s first student to be studying at this very forward-thinking tertiary institution, into a world which certainly has earned its place in the job market.
