Greetings, my name is Siyolise Modi. I was born in a small town in the Eastern Cape called Grahamstown. I attended creche and primary school there. I lived with my aunt and her family as my parents, who stayed in Plettenberg Bay, could not afford to send me to school themselves. I then moved to stay with my parents when I was 9 years old. I attended Plettenberg Bay Primary School from grade 3 onwards and then attended Wittedrift High School. I was officially introduced into the Born in Africa program towards the end of my grade 9 academic year. I matriculated in 2021. I am now enrolled at the University of Cape Town, doing a Bachelor of Social Science degree. I am majoring in Sociology and Psychology. I aspire to one day become a Counselling Psychologist with my own practice and to “save the world” in my own way.
