6 March 2013 - Beach Outing

The learners who were part of the “Learn to Swim” program went on an exciting outing at central beach, Plettenberg Bay. They were shown the Sea Rescue boats and safety equipment with explanations of how things work in practice. The learners also spent time with lifeguards learning valuable lessons specifically about water safety in the sea, something which is absolutely crucial in the area in which we live. A lot of fun was had playing the traditional “flags” game and having a lovely swim in our beautiful waters.

BIA would like to thank KwikSpar for providing us with plenty for everyone to eat. Thank you to our learners for being so co-operative and enthusiastic and thanks also to Wesley and BIA volunteer team for all their efforts in organising the outing.
